Accusing the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of ganging up with the Congress for the pre-election battle against the Bharatiya Janata Party, BJP national spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi on Sunday said her party would offer AAP a tough fight. In spite of the fact that AAP has focussed on the BJP bastions, she maintained that her party did not consider AAP as a threat.
Lekhi, who was here to attend election-related meetings of the party’s core group and cells, said the party has decided to accord due importance to public visibility of the party, which was why it had pulled out the caps.
She said this had nothing to do with AAP men wearing caps, which made them stand out prominently. “We have taken out the caps as part of our marketing strategy to counter the growing visibility of AAP,” she said.
