BCA’s Sanjay Patel made new BCCI secretary

Baroda Cricket Association’s Sanjay Patel was Thursday named as the new secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI),replacing Sanjay Jagdale. Speaking to The Indian Express on his new assignment,Patel said,“It is a challenging assignment. Stalwarts have put faith in me so I hope I will be able to deliver.” Patel has been associated with the BCA for over a decade. He has been serving as the member of BCCI’s finance committee. He is also a member of IPL’s governing council. The post of the BCCI secretary was lying vacant after Jagdale resigned in the wake of the IPL spot fixing scandal.
