Attempt to murder: Gujarat builder’s bail plea rejected

Ahmedabad District (Rural) court today rejected the anticipatory bail plea of city-based builder Ashish Patel in connection with an attempt to murder case. Patel is the owner of a leading builder group,Radhe Builders.

One Chetan Patel had lodged a complaint with Vastrapur police station that Ashish and his accomplices had attacked him with sword near Kabir Restaurant in Thaltej area recently following a dispute over some documents related to a land deal. After an FIR was filed against him,Ashish sought anticipatory bail. Additional Sessions Judge Nipa Raval rejected the application.

Chetan’s lawyer S P Bhavsar said that the court rejected the petition considering the fact that the accused’s custodial interrogation is required.
