The accident had left 27 others seriously injured and four critically injured were shifted to the Rajkot hospital for treatment.
The number of casualties in the Amreli bus accident went up to nine as another injured passenger undergoing treatment in Rajkot hospital died on Monday. Pravin Joshi (60), a resident of Jetpur town in Rajkot district who was injured in the accident in Amreli on Saturday, succumbed to injuries in the PDU General Hospital in Rajkot on Monday morning.
“Joshi had suffered head injuries in the accident and was being treated in the emergency ward. He had partly regained consciousness after treatment. But his health deteriorated in the wee hours of Monday and he died at 4.30 am,” medical superintendent of PDU General Hospital, Dr Dharmendra Vatsraj, said.
With this, the number of deaths in the bus accident climbed up to nine. Seven persons were killed on Saturday when a Mahuva-bound state transport bus overturned near Luvara village in Savarkundla taluka of Amreli district.
