2 AMTS foremen die in hit-and-run in Ahmedabad
The incident took place at around 1 pm on the Cadila-Ghodasar flyover. The deceased are identified as Hrudayanand Ramlakshman Yadav and Ronak Dinesh Shrimali.

Two employees of the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service (AMTS) died in a hit-and-run incident on Monday afternoon.
The incident took place at around 1 pm on the Cadila-Ghodasar flyover where the two deceased, Hrudayanand Ramlakshman Yadav and Ronak Dinesh Shrimali, were part of a team attempting to tow a dead AMTS bus with another one.
DCP Traffic (East) Safin Hasan said, “While the two foremen were towing the bus with another, the towline snapped on the bridge. The two men were repairing the towline when a smaller Eicher vehicle hit the AMTS bus in disrepair from behind, crushing the two men between the two buses.”
The two men died on the spot. The errant truck driver then allegedly ran away from the spot, said police officials.
On Monday evening, an FIR was filed against the anonymous driver for rash and negligent driving as well as putting lives at risk under relevant sections of BNS and MV Act, said PI SN Patel of ‘J’ traffic police station.
The police are trying to locate the absconding driver of the Eicher truck.
