15.96 Lakh children enroled in schools as statewide Shala Praveshotsav ends
The CM also announced tender approval for projects related to water work in Surendranagar district.

TOTAL 15.96 lakh children have been enroled in schools, from Balvatika to Class 11, from across Gujarat during the three-day annual statewide school enrolment drive — Shala Praveshotsav — which concluded on Friday.
On Friday, CM Bhupendra Patel visited Sarodi village, on the outskirts of Thangadh taluka in Surendranagar district, to bring the 21st edition of the statewide Kanya Kelavani and Shala Praveshotsav 2024 to a close.
The CM — who enrolled 46 children including 21 boys and 25 girls in Class 1, and 37 children including 20 boys and 17 girls in Balvatika — on Friday, also announced tender approval for projects related to water work in Surendranagar district.
Noting the significant progress in the education system in the district, taluka and village levels over the years, Patel attributed the success to government schemes aimed at ensuring every child receives a good education, including tribal children in remote areas.
