A 13-year-old student of Class 6 from Dabhoi taluka in Vadodara died of suspected heart attack after complaining of chest pain and collapsing while riding a bicycle in the premises of his residential colony.

The parents of the deceased teenager, Vaibhav Soni, rushed him to a private hospital, where he regained consciousness. He was prescribed medicines and sent home after the doctors conducted tests to ascertain anomalies, said family sources, adding the reports were ‘normal’.

However, Soni again complained of chest pain later in the evening. The family administered the prescribed medicines and put the child to sleep. However, when his mother tried to wake him up for dinner, Soni was unresponsive.
