Subhash Chandra Baheria, a name that resonates with the people of Bhilwara, Rajasthan, is a prominent figure in Indian politics. Born on December 17, 1956, in Shahpura, Bhilwara, Baheria’s journey from a chartered accountant to a three-term Member of Parliament is a testament to his dedication and commitment to public service.
His educational journey began in his hometown, Shahpura, where he completed his B.Com from Govt. College in 1976. His interest in finance led him to pursue Chartered Accountancy at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), which he completed in 1983.
Before stepping into politics, he made a name for himself in the textile industry. He is the founder of Swastika Suitings, one of the largest clothing units in Bhilwara. His contributions to the textile sector played a significant role in transforming Bhilwara into a textile hub. He also holds directorial positions in Sona Textiles and Swastika Threads.
His political career began with his association with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He served as the District President of BJP, Bhilwara, before being elected as a Member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly in 2003.
His political acumen and leadership skills led to his election as a Member of Parliament to the Lok Sabha in 1996, 2014, and 2019 from Bhilwara. He is actively involved in social work and has been associated with the Bharat Vikas Parishad since 1981. His easy accessibility to the people of his constituency has earned him their respect and admiration.
