Pocha Brahmananda Reddy biography

Pocha Brahmananda Reddy is a leader from the Andhra Pradesh-based Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party and a Member of the Parliament from the Nandyal constituency. He was born on January 1, 1958, in Uyyalawda and holds a master’s degree in Agriculture.

He established Bharti Seeds, which revolutionised cotton production in India with the help of hybrid cotton seeds. He mixed scientific techniques with traditional methods and helped countless farmers in the process.

In 2019, Reddy's political ambitions gained momentum when he became a member of the Andhra Pradesh-based regional party, Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party. That year, he entered national politics when he won the Nandyal Lok Sabha seat by using his knowledge of agriculture and local contacts.
