Pashupati Nath Singh is a notable Indian politician affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Born on July 11, 1949, in Lakhanpar, Patna, Bihar, he has served in various legislative capacities throughout his political career.

Singh first stepped into the political arena as a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, representing Dhanbad, in 1995. His political journey continued as he was elected to the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from Dhanbad in the years 2000 and 2005.

Making a significant leap in his political career, Singh was elected to the Indian Parliament as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Dhanbad, marking his tenure in the 15th Lok Sabha in 2009.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Singh secured victory with a total of 543,491 votes, which constituted 47.51% of the votes, a significant majority over his nearest contender from the Indian National Congress (INC), Ajay Kumar Dubey, who received 250,537 votes (21.90%).

Continuing his electoral success, Singh retained his seat from Dhanbad in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections as well.
