Parbatbhai Patel biography

Parbatbhai Patel is a prominent political figure in India, particularly in the state of Gujarat. Born on September 4, 1948, in Bhachar, Taluka Tharad, Banaskantha, Patel has dedicated his life to public service, farming, and social work.

His political career began in the 1980s when he was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Gujarat from the Vav constituency. He served in this capacity from 1985 to 1990. His commitment to his constituents and his effective leadership led to his re-election as an MLA from the same constituency in 2007.

In 2008, Patel was appointed as the Minister of State Water Resources (Independent Charge), Water Supply, Government of Gujarat, a position he held until 2012. In 2012, he was once again elected as an MLA, this time from the Tharad constituency.

His parliamentary journey began in 2014 when he contested and won the 16th Lok Sabha elections from Banaskantha constituency. He retained his seat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, signifying his stronghold over his constituency.
