Ganesh Singh

He began his political career as the law college's general secretary before rising to the position of president. He also became friendly with and began cooperating with the socialist leaders of the Janta Party. In 1989, he headed the socialist youth of Madhya Pradesh State. In 1994, he ran for Zilla panchayat membership and won with a large majority. In 1999, he was elected to the Zilla panchayat of Satna once more, this time as chairman under the direction of a minister of state.

He made his mainstream political debut in 2004 when he contested and won the 14th Lok Sabha election from the Satna constituency. He retained his seat in the subsequent Lok Sabha elections of 2009, 2014 and 2019, marking his stronghold over the political landscape of his constituency.

He has been accused of being anti-bureaucrats, leading to controversy within the BJP and the government.
