India’s highest ranked doubles tennis player Sania Mirza, who turned 31 on Wednesday, is also one of the most high-profile sportspersons in India. In a country that worships cricket, the Hyderabadi tennis player made a mark for herself. Mirza has aced her performance and looks both on and off the field. The past year has been a difficult one for the Hyderabadi who has slipped from World No 1 in the rankings to World No 9 due to injury concerns for her partners and to make things worse, she could go under the knife herself.
