Amid the continuing row over the Epstein files in President Donald Trump’s administration, a purported leaked audio allegedly by a serving FBI officer claimed that the FBI and other law enforcement agencies may have “turned a blind eye” or “missed things” with respect to the Jeffrey Epstein case, according to a report released by O’Keefe Media Group (OMG).
The report by OMG media group, which claims to have obtained an undercover audio, quotes FBI Deputy Senior National Intelligence Officer Rami Hasan who talked about how the FBI and other federal agencies did not investigate the case against Jeffrey Epstein properly, who died in jail in 2019.
“You can see where law enforcement kind of either turned a blind eye…or missed things [on Jeffrey Epstein],” Hasan allegedly said, adding the situation at the FBI has been a “shit show”.
The FBI official further detailed in the purported audio that how the White House was planning to release some of the files and right-wing bloggers and influencers were invited to release the Epstein files.
The alleged leak of the FBI official’s audio comes at a time when the Trump administration is already facing a backlash by some of the MAGA supporters over a dispute between Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino over the Justice Department’s handling of the investigation into the death of accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Earlier in a joint memo released by the FBI and Department of Justice, it was made clear that there was no evidence to support the long-held conspiracy theories surrounding Epstein’s death in federal custody in 2019 and the alleged clients list. The Justice Department had clarified that Epstein died by suicide and the files didn’t contain any list detailing Epstein’s clients.
Trump is trying to unite his MAGA base while defending Bondi to bury the ghost of the Epstein files, saying “nobody cares about” Epstein and that more time and effort should not be wasted on that case.
