Elon Musk endorses Donald Trump as US president after assassination attempt

Musk took to X, supporting and wishing a speedy recovery for Trump while demanding resignation from the US Secret Service leadership. He called the agency’s vigilance incompetent and raised suspicions about it being deliberate.

“The head of the Secret Service and the leader of this security detail should resign”, Musk tweeted with a video of an eyewitness claiming he had informed the security personnel about a suspicious man on a roof with a rifle.

The billionaire went to compare Trump pumping his fist after multiple shots rang at him with the 26th US president and statesman Theodore Roosevelt. He said, “Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt.”

Musk had officially announced that he voted for the Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton, as well as Biden. However, Musk has disclosed disagreements with several Democratic reforms including Biden’s immigration policies and the lack of support and “very cold shoulder” the authorities from the party showed towards Tesla and SpaceX.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden tweeted, “I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information…. Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it,”.
