When a Bangalore cop uses humour to warn traffic offenders, Twitterati really love it

It's amusing to see a police officer exhibiting his sense of humour.

In times of social media when half the world is on Twitter and Facebook, one of the best ways to communicate with people are these platforms. And these days, especially on the Internet, people tend to pay more attention to something that makes them laugh, so authorities across the country, irrespective of the seriousness of their job, are using humour to put their point across.

Adding his name to the growing list of public servants with a funny bone is Abhishek Goyal, Bangalore’s Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic East Division, who wanted to convey a message to all the potential traffic offenders that if they park their car anywhere in the no-parking zone, it WILL be towed and they must take it seriously.

Instead of putting it out the warning in plain words, this is what he wrote.

“Welcome to our Valet Service. Available even during peak rush hours.Leave your (car emoticon) anywhere &we will be there to serve,” he tweeted and Twitterati burst into laughter. For obvious reasons!

As it is, the city is ready to beat Mumbai when it comes to traffic so the police have little choice when it comes to strict following of traffic rules. He also tweeted earlier, “If your vehicle is towed away, apart from the fine, you will be charged the towing charges as well !!”

Though it’s not new, but it’s still amusing to see a police officer exhibiting his sense of humour. And people on Twitter find it applause-worthy.

While you are at it, have you seen the tweets put out by Mumbai police? They’re pretty epic!
