Delhi is not for beginners. For those who don’t get the lingo, it means the city could be overwhelming to people not used to the antics of its residents. For instance, plastering a poster––an advertisement for Ramleela and Dussehra celebrations hosted by a local committee in Pitampura––on a flyover signboard. A photo capturing this scene has gone viral on Reddit. That a doctor, one of the organisers, listed his services—like physiotherapy and chiropractic care—on the poster also caught the Internet’s attention.
A rush of reactions followed, with many users expressing annoyance at the way advertisements and posters clog public areas and obscure important information. Some commented on how this incident reflects a broader issue––“zero civic sense”––displayed by a large chunk of the population.

In the comments section of the post, a Redditor shared a funny story about his dad’s car, saying, “They slapped a sticker on the back, and now we can’t remove it without damaging the car.” Another user wrote, “At least they could have left off the first letter; I could have played ‘guess the flyover’ while stuck in traffic.”
