A new X post showing how an Indian couple’s love for K-dramas birthed the name of their newborn son is stirring up attention on social media.

In the viral X post, the woman shared that her cousin and his wife bonded over K-dramas. They fell in love while binge-watching shows. After they had a baby, the couple did a poll on social media, laying down three options for their baby’s name: “Kim Soo-Hyun Tripathi,” “Choi Seung-Hyo Tripathi,” and “Kang Tae-Moo Tripathi.”

“My cousin and his wife met while discussing Kdrama on the comment section and since then they have binge-watched all the Kdramas on Netflix. they recently had a baby and look at this,” the post read.

With over 40,00,000 views, the post ignited a sea of hilarious reactions. A user wrote, “Their child social life will die before it even began.” Another user commented, “They’re going to give the kid a lifetime of name calling at school and work if they stay in India.”

“I am also a binge watcher of kdramas..and now I am afraid,” a third user reacted. “Why not Gu jun pyo Tripathi. heard this name is too popular among K pop fans,” another user commented. “Unless the kid is half Korean I strongly recommend telling your cousin to not give the kid a name that will get them bullied,” yet another user said.
