British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has sent his fans in India into a frenzy with his concerts in Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru as a part of his ‘The Mathematics Tour’. “The Shape of You” singer was last spotted riding a scooter with Arijit Singh at his hometown in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal.
A new video has surfaced on social media, showing Ed Sheeran enjoying the humble lassi—a yogurt-based drink—at a local shop. Shared by the Instagram account @believeinarijit, the viral reel captures the singer standing at the shop with his camera, surrounded by his crew. The clip concludes with the vendor preparing the drink and handing it to Sheeran. “When Ed Sheeran meets Bengal’s sweetness – a lassi moment in Jiaganj!” the caption read.

Several fans flocked to the comment section to share their love for the pop icon. “Had To Admit That Both Arijit Singh And ED Sheeran Are Way Too Down To Earth Huge Respect Towards Them,” a user wrote. “ed sheeran is no more british at this point,” another user commented.
“We got Ed to drink Lassi in WB before GTA VI,” a third user reacted.
Arijit Singh and Sheeran reportedly spent almost five hours exploring the streets of Jiaganj. They also took a one-hour ride on a mechanized boat along the Bhagirathi. Sheeran did not ask for any extra security from the authorities, a TOI report said.
Earlier, Sheeran’s impromptu performance on Church Road in Bengaluru was abruptly halted by the cops. Following the incident, the singer clarified that he had permission to busk on Church Street. In Bengaluru, he also stunned the audience by performing Chuttamalle, a Telugu song from Jr NTR and Janhavi Kapoor’s Devara, alongside singer Shilpa Rao.
The singer will next perform in Shillong on February 12, today.
