Rohit Sharma believes that David Warner and Steve Smith’s presence will make India’s tour to Australia, which is scheduled to be held later this year, a “different ball game” as compared to the previous one.

99-year-old World War II veteran gets invite to Lord’s after raising money to battle Covid-19

Captain Tom Moore, a 99-year-old World War II veteran, who raised million of pounds for National Health Service healthcare workers in the United Kingdom in the fight against Covid-19 has now been invited to Lord’s.

England Test captain Joe Root surprised Moore with a video call, during which he invited his fellow Yorkshireman to give the side a team talk. The World War veteran also received an invite from the MCC and the England cricket team to ring the five-minute bell at Lord’s once the current coronavirus lockdown is lifted. [Read More]

Period away from cricket was like torture: Prithvi Shaw

India batsman Prithvi Shaw, who was suspended from participating in any cricket activity by BCCI from July last year until November 15, described the time period as ‘tortuure’. However, he also mentioned that the suspension provided him with motivation to do better on his return.

“It was a mistake. And the period away from cricket was a torture,” Shaw said while interacting with fans during an Instagram Live session on his IPL franchise Delhi Capitals’ official handle. [Read More]

Vijender Singh, Manjor Kumar raise funds for Dingko Singh’s cancer treatment

Dingko Singh, who is battling liver cancer, received support from fellow boxers Vijender Singh and Manoj Kumar, who have come together to raise funds for Asian Games gold-winning former pugilist. Dingko will be flown to Delhi on April 25 for radiation therapy.

Coming together for the cause on a whatsapp group, Vijender and Manoj, among other boxers and coaches, managed to raise over Rs 1 lakh which has been transferred to Dingko’s account directly. [Read More]
