CPM,TMC clash in RS over Hillary visit

Claiming that the visiting US Secretary of State,Hillary Clinton, raised the issue of Teesta water sharing row with Bangladesh during her meeting with Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee

Claiming that the visiting US Secretary of State,Hillary Clinton, raised the issue of Teesta water sharing row with Bangladesh during her meeting with Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, the CPM on Monday accused the US of intruding into Indias bilateral affairs. The party tried to raise the issue in Parliament, triggering a verbal duel with Trinamool members.

Banerjee, however, said the issue did not figure in her talks with Clinton.

The CPM members tried to raise the issue in the Rajya Sabha as soon as the House met,but Chairman Hamid Ansari did not allow them to proceed.

Later, party MP Shyamal Chakraborty referred to the issue leading to a clash with TMC members led by Sukhendu Sekhar Roy.
