Governor K Sankaranarayanan on Thursday suspended controversial former bureaucrat Ramanand Tiwari as the State Information Commissioner for Greater Mumbai. Tiwaris name had surfaced as an alleged beneficiary in the Adarsh housing society scam.The order will come into force with immediate effect. The Governor has suspended Tiwari using powers under Section 17.2 of the RTI Act, a Raj Bhavan spokesperson said.
