AHMEDABAD, Aug 29: With Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee, film star Shatrughan Sinha and Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha scheduled to address public meetings in the State this week, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s poll campaign is gaining momentum.
The Prime Minister will tour the State on September 2 in the last lap of campaigning in Gujarat. Vajpayee is scheduled to address public meetings at Vyara in Surat district during the noon, and later in Rajkot. He will also address a meeting in Ahmedabad in the evening.
Vajpayee had earlier come to Gujarat on August 23 when he addressed a Press conference in Ahmedabad and public meetings in Surendranagar, Kapadwanj and Vadodara. Film star-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha and Bhairon Singh Shekhawat will be visiting Gujarat on August 31. Shatrughan Sinha will extensively tour the State and address public meetings in Kapadwanj, Dahegam, Dadri in Valsad, Borsad and Anand on Sept 1.
