Masaba Gupta relishes mac and cheese: ‘I will never have abs and it’s ok’

Masaba Gupta is known to be extremely particular about her diet and fitness routine, except for the occasional indulgences that she claims to ‘earn’. As such, the Masaba Masaba actor took to her Instagram Stories to share a picture of a plate with mac and cheese that she relished. “I will never have abs and it’s ok,” wrote Masaba.

She also revealed the story behind the delectable cheat meal with a mirror selfie picture.

“Walked from Juhu to Bandra yesterday to earn my mac and cheese and I highly recommend it if you are okay with stepping in to (shit) and vomit for your carbs and your sweet bod,” she mentioned.

Should you have cheat meals in your diet?

According to Cleveland Health Clinic, “To maintain health, eat healthy food 80 per cent of the time, and allow yourself 20 per cent wiggle room (by practicing portion control.)”

Experts suggest that a good balance and moderation will not do any harm. “Giving your body what it craves while also keeping your health in check is the key to good health,” said Goyal.

They are also counted as a mental break in one’s diet which helps the body regulate hormones – leptin and ghrelin. This helps jumpstart the metabolism and encourages the body to keep burning calories. This is considered a good motivation for the practitioner.

Speaking about metabolism, Vikas Chawla, ayurveda expert, founder and director, Vedas Cure said that since “each body is different, it is critical to understand what kind of food is salubrious and suitable to our body type and needs”. “We should not go overboard with our food as it directly impacts our physical, mental, and social health. There should always be some kind of moderation exercised on all counts to keep our bodies active,” said Chawla.

This is not the first time that the 33-year-old has shown her love for food on social media.

“I love vada pav,” she said, while the caption read: “Unless you’re chutney, you can’t come between me and my vada pav.”
