Chairman of Bihar JD(U) campaign committee Narendra Singh on Thursday said that NDA candidates did not require the services of controversial BJP candidate from Pilibhit Varun Gandhi to campaign for the victory of NDA candidates in the state.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the star campaigner for the JD(U) during the upcoming lok sabha elections, had already demanded legal action against Varun for his alleged hate speeches against a particular community,Singh said.

When Kumar demanded legal action against Varun, how the party could take the services of the Varun Gandhi to campaign for NDA candidates in Bihar.

Singh said the state unit of BJP has much bigger leaders than Varun Gandhi for campaigning purposes and expressed confidence that the NDA would force the RJD-LJP combine to lick the dust at the hustings riding the development plank.

Stating that lok sabha polls would be fought on development and non-development planks,Singh said NDA would seek votes on development as Nitish Kumar government had taken umpteen measures to bring Bihar back on growth track besides maintaining communal harmony and law and order.
