Kurmi Samaj strike: Over 46 trains affected in South Eastern Railway – check full list

Kurmi Samaj News: Indian Railways (IR) has regulated the operations of more than 46 trains as members of the Kurmi community blocked railway tracks across several locations in Jharkhand and Odisha.

Kurmi Samaj News: Indian Railways (IR) has regulated the operations of more than 46 trains as members of the Kurmi community blocked railway tracks across several locations in Jharkhand and Odisha. In a statement, South Eastern Railway (SER) said, “Train services of South Eastern Railway have been partially affected due to agitation by Adiwasi Kudmi Samaj today (20.09.2025). Agitation was staged at Bhanjpur station of Kharagpur Division from 05:02 hrs to 05:35 hrs. Agitation is also continuing between Sini-Gamharia section of Chakradharpur division, Rakhamines-Galudih Section of Kharagpur Division.

In Ranchi Division, Rail blockade is continuing at Muri Yard and Latemda-Jhimri & Namkum- Tatisilwai sections. Due to agitation at some stations of Dhanbad division of East Central Railway, some trains are being controlled over SER jurisdiction. However, the reasons of the agitation are not related to Railways. As a result of the agitation, the train services of SER have been regulated.”
