Kolkata to Mizoram Train: With the inauguration of the Bairabi–Sairang railway line on September 13, train services from Mizoram’s capital Aizawl to Kolkata will become a reality. During his visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Sairang–Kolkata Express, a service expected to strengthen connectivity between the two states and give a boost to tourism in the Northeast.
Sairang-Kolkata Express: Train Number, Route, Distance, Travel Time
The Sairang-Kolkata Express will run as train number 13125/13126. It will cover a distance of 1530 km in 31:15 hrs. The train will run via Naihati, Krishnanagar City, Murshidabad. The train will be maintained and operated by Eastern Railway (ER) zone.

During its journey between Aizawl and Kolkata, this new train will stop at 24 stations. These are: Naihati, Krishnanagar City, Berhampore Court, Murshidabad, Azimganj, Jangipur Road, New Farakka, Malda Town, Kishanganj, New Coochbehar, Tufanganj, Golakganj, Gauripur, Bilasipara, Abhayapuri Asam, Goalpara Town and Kamakhya railway stations. The train will also make its halt at New Jalpaiguri, Guwahati, Hojai, New Haflong, Badarpur Junction, Hailakandi, and Bairabi.
The train number 13125 Kolkata-Sairang Express will run thrice a week – Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday. Meanwhile, train number 13126 Sairang-Kolkata Express will operate on Monday, Thursday and Friday. The Sairang-Kolkata-Sairang Express will be composed of 22 coaches: 2 AC Two Tier, 5 AC Three Tier, 2 AC Three-Tier Economy, 7 Sleeper Class, 4 General Second Class, Brake, 1 Luggage cum Generator Car, and 1 SLRD.
The train number 13125 Kolkata-Sairang Express train will leave Kolkata at 12:25 hrs to reach Sairang at 19:45 hrs on the next day. On the other hand, train number 13126 Sairang-Kolkata Express will leave at 07:15 hrs to reach West Bengal’s capital at 14:30 hrs on the second day.
