Karma Puja Bank Holiday Today 2025: Public-sector banks (PSBs) and private banking institutions will be closed today, on Wednesday, September 3, on account of Karma Puja, following the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) 2025 holiday calendar.

Bank holidays in India are determined by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) under the Negotiable Instruments Act, which includes RTGS holidays and other regional and national holidays, in addition to the mandatory weekly days off on the second Saturday and Sunday of each month.

There is a total of 15 bank holidays designated for September 2025, according to the RBI calendar for the year 2025.
