Though actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have kept mum on their engagement and avoided sharing any posts regarding the same on social media, eagle-eyed fans recently spotted the Arjun Reddy actor flaunting his engagement ring during a recent public outing.

Vijay was recently clicked at Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Maha Samadhi with his family. The actor’s younger brother, Anand Deverakonda, was seen accompanying him. Vijay was dressed casually in a t-shirt, sporting a moustache and sunglasses. As he received a bouquet of flowers, fans were quick to notice an engagement ring on his ring finger.

Though Vijay and Rashmika haven’t publicly announced their engagement on social media, Vijay’s team confirmed the news of their engagement to SCREEN on Saturday. Sources also suggest that the engagement took place at Vijay’s residence in Hyderabad and was attended only by close family members.

Rumours of Vijay and Rashmika’s relationship started swirling when they first starred together in the 2018 romantic drama Geetha Govindam. At the time, Rashmika was engaged to her Kirik Party co-star Rakshit Shetty. Rashmika and Rakshit had gotten engaged in July 2017. However, their engagement was called off just a month after the release of Geetha Govindam.

Soon, Vijay and Rashmika became fans’ favourite couple, and they starred together in their second film, Dear Comrade, in 2019. In the past, the couple has always refrained from speaking about their relationship. However, fans often spotted them sharing vacation photos from the same destinations, confirming dating rumours. While they have not admitted to dating each other publicly, they have in the past acknowledged that they aren’t single. Previously, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Vijay Deverakonda stated, “I am 35 and I am not single.” Meanwhile, Rashmika Mandanna indirectly confirmed her relationship at an event in Chennai during Pushpa 2 promotions. When the host asked whether her partner is from the film industry, she quipped, “Everyone already knows all of these things.”
