Rating:*
A Rajasthani princeling loses his heart to a Punjabi kudi in London town. Back they come for a family wedding to the rajwada, where he (Kapoor) pretends that she (Randhawa) is a journalist accompanying him to cover the royal shaadi. Why? Because his anglophile father (Kher) cannot abide the thought of non-royals being part of the family.
Chaar Din Ki Chandni is a sorry series of idiocies which starts with this one. The rest are as follows. A permanently drunk fellow clutches his hip flask and lurches about. A horribly horny type keeps leering at women in low cholis. The bride-to-be is unaccountably fond of leather and fur. And so on.
Stereotypes make up what goes for a plot. Anupam Kher is constantly whipping out a rifle and threatening to shoot someone. Thats what Rajasthan royals do. Om Puri cannot speak a sentence without a gaali. Thats what Punjabis do. A gay wedding planner minces and flutters his eyelashes and grabs guys by their butt. Thats what gay people do,and clearly, all wedding planners have to be that way inclined.
The worst sin of this enterprise is to give us its remixed version of Chandni, the song Sri Baby made iconic, along with her nau-nau choodies. Except, instead of Rishi and Sri,we get Tush and Kul. Oh,my eyes.
