MCC reduces NEET PG 2024 cut-off percentile

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has reduced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 qualifying percentile. The NEET PG 2024 qualifying percentile has been brought down across all categories.

An MCC statement issued in this regard said: “..as per decision taken by MoHFW [Ministry of Health and Family Welfare] in consultation with NMC, the percentile for NEET PG counselling 2024 has been lowered.”

The general and EWS category students scoring 15 percentile and above will be eligible to participate in the counselling. The new and revised cut-off required to become eligible for NEET PG counselling is 10 percentile and above for students belong to SC, ST, OBC and PwD categories.

The NEET PG cut-off percentile was 50th for unreserved categories, 45th for PwD categories and 40th for reserved category students. 

Last year, the NEET PG qualifying percentile was brought down to zero across all categories. The NEET PG cut-off for general category candidates was reduced from the 50th percentile to 35th in 2022. The cut-off for unreserved PwD candidates was dropped from 45th percentile to 20th percentile and for students belonging under SC, ST and OBC (including PwD of SC, ST, OBC), the cut-off was reduced to 20th percentile from 40th.
