Why NTA revised the dates JEE Main 2023?

The NTA has shifted Joint Entrance Examination January 27 exam to February 1 due to two reasons, due to January 26 restrictions, it can be inconvenient for students to travel, if need be. JEE Main 2023: Age criteria

There is no age limit for candidates to appear for JEE Main 2023. Any student who has passed class 12 or equivalent in 2021, 2022 or appearing in 2023 can appear for JEE Main 2023 irrespective of their age. However, they will have to fulfil the age criteria of the institution they want to take admission in.

JEE Main 2023: How NTA will resolve an issue of a tie-breaker

In case any of a tie between candidates appearing for BE/B Tech, will be resolved in the following manner in descending
order
- NTA score in Mathematics, followed by
- NTA score in Physics, followed by
- NTA score in Chemistry, followed by
- Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the test, followed by
- Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics in the Test, followed by
- Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics in the Test, followed by
- Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry in the Test followed by

JEE Main 2023: Marking scheme for BTech and BE courses

There will be a total of 90 questions for 300 marks. In the MCQs, every correct answer will fetch you 4 marks, while for every incorrect answer one mark will be deducted. There would be 0 mark for the question left unattempted or unanswered. The marking scheme is similar for  for questions for which the answer is a numerical value.

JEE Main 2023: Bombay HC refuses to postpone January session

The Bombay High Court Tuesday refused to postpone this month’s JEE Main 2023 exam, stating that any ruling would have a cascading effect on future examinations and that courts should not intervene even if “an educational policy is bad”. JEE Main 2023: Changes for Tamil Nadu candidates

The NTA disabled the class 10 result column for students from Tamil Nadu state board. Due to the COVID outbreak, no examinations were conducted for 2021 batch of class 10. JEE Main 2023: Reporting time

For the 9 am to 12 pm shift, candidates have to report between 7 am to 8:30 am. The instructions will be given the candidates from 8:30 am to 8:50 am and candidates have to log in at 8:50 to read the instructions. For the 3 pm to 6:30 pm shift, they will have to report from 1 pm to 2:30 pm, the instructions will be given from 2:30 pm to 2:50 pm and then the students will log in and read instructions from 2:50 pm.

Why was Jan 27 exam cancelled?

The NTA Chief told indianexpress.com that since PM Modi’s Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023 is scheduled on January 27, the NTA decided to cancel the exam scheduled on January 27. “There may be some students who are enrolled in that too, and we wanted to avoid any clash,” he explained.

Why is JEE Advanced tougher than JEE Main?

– Admit card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website (a clear print-out on A4 size paper) duly filled in.

– A transparent ballpoint pen

– Additional photograph, to be pasted on the attendance sheet

– Transparent water bottle

– Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange), in case the candidate is diabetic

Class 10 result column disabled for students from Tamil Nadu state board

JEE Mains 2023: BE and BTech- Subject-wise distribution of questions, total number of questions, and marks

Each subject will have two sections- Section A and B. Section will have 20 questions and section B will have 10 questions, there will be a total of 90 questions for three subjects. Each subject will be for 100 marks, bringing the total to a maximum of 300 marks. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) and section B will contain questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. In section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be negative marking for both sections. For each question in Section B, a candidate has to enter the correct integer value of the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad in the place designated to enter the answer. For section B, the answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

How to answer the MCQs

– To select your answer, click on the button of one of the options.
– To deselect your chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click on the Clear Response button.
– To change your chosen answer, click on the button of another option.
– To save your answer, you must click on the Save and Next button
– To mark the question for review, click on the ‘Mark for Review and Next' button.
– To change your answer to a question that has already been answered, first select that question for answering and then follow the procedure for answering that type of question.

What will be type of questions and in which mode the paper will be conducted?

The Joint Entrance Examination will be a computer based exam consisting Multiple Choice Questions for B.E and B Tech, B Planning. B Arch will have three parts, the first two will have objective type- MCQs and third paper will be drawing which will be conducted in offline mode and will pen and paper based. The candidates will have to draw on an A4 sheet of paper.

JEE Main 2023 Session 1 Admit Cards Released: This year, the JEE Main 2023 Session 1 exams are scheduled to take place on January 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30 and January 31, 2023. Session 2 will be conducted in April, according to the official NTA calendar.
