Last year, as many as 283 universities admitted students to their UG programmes on the basis of CUET UG scores. This time, however, the number of universities using CUET UG scores has dropped to 239.
As many as 13,54,699 applicants registered for the exam this year. Of them, 6,47,934 students were female, while 7,06,760 were male candidates and five were third gender. Of the total candidates registering, as many as 10,71,735 appeared -- 5,23,988 female candidates, 5,47,744 male candidates and three third-gender candidates.
CUET UG 2025 was conducted in 37 subjects -- 13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects, one General Aptitude Test. Candidates could choose up to a maximum of five subjects, including languages and the General Aptitude Test. 322 unique question papers and 1,059 total question papers, including 13 languages (total 57,940 questions), were administered this year. Last year, the number of unique question papers were only 99.

Instead of announcing CUET UG 2025 toppers, NTA, as a first, has listed the application numbers scoring the highest NTA score in five subjects.
As many as 322 unique question papers and 1,059 total question papers, including 13 languages totalling 57,940 questions were administered.

In 2025, there were 13,54,699 unique registrations (up from 13,47,820 in 2024) and 10,71,735 candidates appeared (a decrease from 11,13,610 in 2024). Subject tests administered were 58,18,608 in registration and 44,75,444 in appearance.
The gender distribution included 7,06,760 male and 6,47,934 female registrants, with 5 transgender candidates. Among social categories, 6,08,705 were from the General category, followed by 4,44,227 OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 1,44,289 SC, 84,461 ST, and 73,017 EWS candidates.
The medium-wise distribution showed most candidates opting for English (11,11,037 registered and 8,73,115 appeared) and Hindi (2,20,703 registered and 1,85,605 appeared). Other regional languages saw modest participation.
2679 candidates have achieved a 100 percentile in one of their opted subjects.
150 candidates have scored the 100 percentile in two subjects.
A total of 17 candidates have secured a 100 percentile in three of their chosen subjects.

The result for CUET UG 2025 will be processed based on the final answer keys. No grievance with regard to answer keys after the declaration of result of CUET UG 2025 will be entertained. The marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the result of CUET UG 2025. There will be no re-evaluation or re-checking of the result. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained, NTA said.

Yes, the results of CUET UG 2025 result can be cancelled. The result CUET UG 2025 of the candidates who indulge in unfair means practices will be cancelled and will not be declared. Similarly, the CUET UG result of those candidates who appear from the centre other than the one allotted to them or allow another candidate or person to write the examination on their behalf will be cancelled.
According to the official announcement by NTA, the CUET UG 2025 result will be declared on July 4. However, the time is not confirmed. Along with the results, the NTA will also share the subject-wise and total number of appeared and qualified.
The NTA first ranks all candidates in descending order of their percentile scores. Raw scores are then matched against these percentiles. Next, a third value called the interpolated mark is derived using linear interpolation.

B: The total number of candidates who scored equal to or less than A in that session
C: The total number of candidates in the session
The formula is: (B ÷ C) × 100
For example, if a student scores 121 in a session of 41,326 candidates, and 37,244 candidates score less than or equal to 121, then the student's normalised percentile score would be:

Percentile scores are calculated up to seven decimal places.

Last year, 3,47,736 students registered for the exam, and 2,96,858 students appeared for the CUET UG admissions.
