A man jumped to death from the terrace of Sassoon General Hospital building on Friday morning. The police have identified the deceased as Dashrath Suresh Medhe, 31, a resident of Motala in Buldhana district.
As per the procedure, an accidental death report was lodged at Bundgarden police station.
Senior police inspector Ravindra Gaikwad said prima-facie the deceased is suspected to have committed suicide.
Police said the deceased was admitted to the hospital for treatment on Thursday night because he became unwell due to consumption of liquor. He went to the terrace beside ward number 40 of the hospital and jumped down around 7.30 am. Police are further investigating the case.
