All-rounder Suresh Raina and Piyush Chawla were given a warm welcome on reaching their homes on Monday. Raina reached his residence at Ghaziabad at around 10.00 pm on Monday after visiting the Sai Baba temple at Shirdi. Hundreds of fans had gathered outside his residence.

His elder brother Dinesh Raina asked Suresh to make it a point to meet his fans first who had been waiting for quite some time just to have a glimpse of him.

“ People visited our place till late in the evening. I was very happy to see that Suresh met all the visitors with great humility and gave autographs to his fans very happily. My mother Parvesh Raina welcomed him with the Tika. Since then laddoos and burfis are doing the rounds.”

“Raina is extremely happy to be part of Team India which won the World Cup. Now in order to be with his IPL team,he will be leaving home by Wednesday evening,” Dinesh said.

Dinesh informed,“In the morning,Rajnath Singh of the BJP also visited our residence. He said that the country is proud of the team’s performance in the World Cup.”
