Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will be on a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency Rae Bareli and neighbouring Amethi on Tuesday and Wednesday, his party leaders said.
Apart from meeting office-bearers and making field visits, he will also inaugurate open a heart surgery operation theatre at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, Munshiganj, Amethi. The hospital was in a controversy recently following allegations by some patients about treatment, which had been denied by the hospital administration.
On the first day, he will inaugurate a solar plant in Kundangaj area of Rae Bareli, inaugurate a statue of Subhash Chandra Bose in Rae Bareli and would also visit Rae Coach factory in Rae Bareli. Gandhi will also visit the ordnance factory at Korva on the second day of his visit in Amethi.
Congress MP from Amethi, Kishori Lal Sharma, said Gandhi will first visit Rae Bareli on April 29, where he will attend a meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA). Gandhi will also visit Indira Gandhi College of Nursing, he said.
