A COURT in Firozabad Wednesday sentenced a 75-year-old man to life imprisonment in the murder of 10 persons belonging to Dalit community in 1981. The court also imposed a fine on the convict, Ganga Dayal.
According to the district government counsel, Firozabad, Rajeev Priyadarshi, the case dates back to December 1981 when the police got information about an attack on some residents of Sadupur falling under Shikohabad (now Makhanpur) police station in Mainpuri district.
