The Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday revised the fourth phase voter turnout figure of West Bengal upward to 80.22 per cent – a jump of 4 percentage point from Monday’s figure. However, this was slight less than the 2019 overall turnout which stood at 82.68 per cent.
As per the EC, Bardhaman Purba constituency registered the highest turnout of 82.85 per cent among the eight constituencies that voted on Monday, followed by Bolpur (82.66 per cent).
Asansol recorded the lowest turnout at 73.27 per cent.
