Asserting that none of the BJP leaders have accounts in Swiss banks,party president Nitin Gadkari on Sunday said the BJP will,at an appropriate time,release a list with the names of 700 people who have illegally stashed money in Swiss banks. We have chosen a time to make this list public and it is not the right time now, he said.
The BJP national president further alleged that Congress MPs,including one from Punjab,were involved with black money being deposited abroad. No BJP leader or elected representative is involved in the issue. We would never be so loud if any of our leaders were on the list, he added.
On the Punjab assembly elections,the BJP chief said, The BJP will contest in 23 seats and we have planned a strategy to win all of them. As for the issue of seat swapping,the primary decision lies at the hands of the state BJP working committee.
Gadkari also played down reports that social activist Anna Hazare had attacked the SAD-BJP government by terming it a corrupt one. We dont seek support from anyone,if Anna comes or not,it is his own will, he said.
