Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini Thursday visited the Mohali residence of renowned Punjabi comedian and actor Jaswinder Singh Bhalla to offer condolences on his demise. Meeting the bereaved family, the CM expressed grief and said, “Jaswinder Bhalla brought smiles to millions of faces with his acting and simple style. His passing is an irreparable loss to the world of art and cinema.”
Saini prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength for the family in this difficult time. His OSD, Dr Prabhleen Singh, also accompanied him.
Earlier in the day, several dignitaries, including Tourism and Culture Affairs Minister Meet Hayer, Agriculture Minister Hardeep Khudian and Minister Taranpreet Sond too visited Bhalla’s residence to extend their condolences.
Punjab Food Commission chairman Balmukand Sharma announced that the antim ardas (final prayer) for the late Jaswinder Bhalla will be held on August 30 (Saturday) from 12 noon to 1:30 pm at Gurdwara Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib, Sector 34, Chandigarh.
