Diarrhoea Outbreak: Decline in cases being reported

After over a week,finally,there is a decline in the number of fresh diarrhoea cases being reported from Vikas Nagar,which has been in the grip of the water borne disease since the beginning of this month.

Chandigarh: After over a week,finally,there is a decline in the number of fresh diarrhoea cases being reported from Vikas Nagar,which has been in the grip of the water borne disease since the beginning of this month. On Monday,nine new cases were reported from Pipliwala area of Manimajra,and seven of these patients have been brought to the Government Multi Specialty Hospital,Sector 16. Meanwhile,a total of 63 new cases were reported to Vikas Nagar medical camp on Monday,of which,3 cases have been referred. In order to keep a check on the epidemic,the officials of health department conducted a house-to-house survey in slums and rural areas of the city. Prevention of Food Adulteration cell of Health Department,Chandigarh Administration also conducted raids in rural areas.
