In order to address various problems plaguing Bengaluru city, the Karnataka government Wednesday launched a new website to seek feedback and ideas from people across the world on what could be done to solve the issues.
People can send in their suggestions by June 30, said Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar. He added, “People are welcome to send their suggestions even after that but if it is sent on time, the solutions can be discussed better.”
“The website — http://www.brandbengaluru.karnataka.gov.in — will allow users to provide inputs on traffic management, governance, solid waste management etc,” Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, who is also the Bengaluru Development Minister, said after the launch.
People can send in their suggestions by June 30, Shivakumar said. He added, “People are welcome to send their suggestions even after that but if it is sent on time, the solutions can be discussed better.”
These suggestions will be compiled and the government “will implement what we can”, Shivakumar said, adding that Bengaluru is not a planned city, except for parts of Jayanagar. “The website is a part of the extensive consultations held with various other stakeholders on development of Bengaluru,” he said.
Shivakumar will also chair a meeting with serving and retired officials of the traffic police along with Home Minister G Parameshwara on traffic issues.
