The Acharya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, won the prestigious state-level Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Baseball Tournament held in Karnataka’s Mysore.

The championship, which took place on Thursday, July 27, witnessed fierce competition among baseball teams from across colleges in Karnataka. The Acharya Institute of Technology’s boys’ team started their campaign with a 12-2 win against People’s Education Society (PES) University and followed it up with a 9-2 victory against ATME College of Engineering.

The Acharya Institute team then entered the finals against Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT) and beat the latter with a score of 13-6. The team was led by coach Gangadhar under the captainship of Syed Nawaz.
