Adani Group executives dominate CM-led delegation to tour Japan, Singapore from today

During his tour, the CM is scheduled to visit Japanese cities Yamanashi, Tokyo, and Kobe and hold meetings with government and industry officials there between November 26 and December 30 while promoting VGGS scheduled between January 10 and 12.

Adani Group dominates the delegation of 17 industry leaders who will accompany Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on his seven-day tour to Japan and Singapore to promote Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS).

The CM is leading a delegation comprising senior bureaucrats and representatives of various industries and will fly out from Mumbai late Saturday.

The officials accompanying the CM include Chief Secretary Raj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries & Mines) S J Haider, Additional Chief Secretary to the CM Pankaj Joshi, Resident Commissioner Arti Kanwar and IndextB MD Gaurang Makwana.

Among the industries, Adani Group — at three — has the highest number of representatives as part of the delegation. APSEZ and Adani Cement MD & CEO Karan Adani, Adani Green Energy Ltd MD Sagar Adani, and Adani Group President Saurin Shah are among the delegates. The other industry representatives include Zydus Lifesciences Chairman Pankaj Patel, Kiri Industries CMD Manish Kiri, Meghmani Industries CMD Natubhai Patel, UPL Group Vice-Chairman & Co CEO Vikram Shroff, and Reliance Industries Group President Dhanraj Nathwani.
There is also representation from Micron Semiconductors, Maruti Suzuki, ArcellorMittal Group, Welspun Group, Tata Projects, Suzlon Energy, Aditya Birla Group and Shayona Group.

The CM is scheduled to hold meetings with government and industry officials between November 26 and December 30 in Yamanashi, Tokyo and Kobe to promote VGGS scheduled to be held between January 10 and 12.

The CM’s delegation will be in Singapore between December 1 and 2 where high-level meetings have been proposed with the Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat and others.
