824 AFTERSHOCKS IN 24 HRS | Philippines' Davao Oriental Shaken Nonstop After Twin Mega Quakes!

Philippines' state seismologists recorded 824 aftershocks within 24 hours after twin earthquakes jolted Davao Oriental on October 10—a magnitude 7.4 offshore tremor in the morning, followed by a 6.8 quake in the evening, both along the Philippine Trench. At least eight people died and 11 were injured. The strongest aftershock was magnitude 5.8, with six above magnitude 5. Infrastructure damage included seven roads and three bridges, power disruptions in Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, Butuan, and communication outages in 12 cities/municipalities.
