India Rejects Navarro’s “Inaccurate” Remarks, Stresses Resilient Strategic Partnership with US

India’s Ministry of External Affairs has rejected “inaccurate and misleading” remarks made by Peter Navarro, Senior Counsellor for Trade and Manufacturing to the US President. MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal emphasized that the India–US relationship is a comprehensive global strategic partnership rooted in democratic values, shared interests, and strong people-to-people ties. He underlined that the partnership has endured challenges and continues to deepen, citing the ongoing joint military exercise in Alaska and recent 2+2 consultations. On global issues, Jaiswal said India values the Quad as a platform for cooperation and reiterated New Delhi’s support for peace in Ukraine.
