In comparison to Hollywood stars, there is a huge gap. While Jennifer Lawrence, world's highest paid actress, earned $46 million, Priyanka was way behind. But with Padmavati reportedly making her the top paid actress in India, this year will be even bigger for Bollywood's Queen Bee.

Talking about Deepika Padukone, Forbes wrote, "While Padukone earns far less than her Hollywood counterparts for roles, she compensates with over a dozen lucrative endorsements for local brands including Tanishq jewelry and Vistara, a domestic airline. These numerous high-paying shills have helped her hedge against a deep pay gap in Bollywood. Though a top male star might earn close to $5 million a movie, prominent Indian actresses rarely clear $1 million a film. "

Forbes also talked about Deepika Padukone as a style icon. "The Bangalore-bred Padukone, who got her big break with 2007′s Om Shanti Om, has since starred in several films that have crossed the $150 million or 100 crore mark–a barometer for box office success in India. The 30-year-old has also become something of a style icon, launching her own label All About You for Indian online shopping site Myntra," the magazine said.

Bringing up the front of Forbes best-paid list is Hollywood glitteratti. Jennifer Lawrence, Melissa McCarthy ($33 million) and Scarlett Johansson at $25 million are the top three stars.

The rest of the top 10 of this year’s highest-paid actresses are Jennifer Aniston ($21 million), Fan Bingbing ($17 million), Charlize Theron ($16.5 million), Amy Adams ($13.5 million), Julia Roberts ($12 million), Mila Kunis ($11 million) and Deepika Padukone ($10 million).
