THE RJD on Thursday accused the Bihar Police of making inadequate security arrangements for Tejashwi Yadav, putting him under threat, after his helicopter was mobbed at a rally.
Later in the day, the JD(U) tweeted a video, tagged ‘Jungle Raj ke yuvraj par haar ki baukhlaahat dikhne lagi hai’, ostensibly showing Tejashwi pushing aside a person in a crowd.
RJD leader and Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Kumar Jha released on Twitter a letter he wrote to the Election Commission and Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar on October 21, seeking they look into the “inadequate security arrangements” at the “dais or space around helipad” for Tejashwi.
Jha said even the pilot of the RJD leader’s helicopter had complained of “pathetic crowd management”, and lack of police personnel. Jha said there had been no action “in spite of repeated requests”, as a result of which “anti-social elements cause immense trouble and ugly scenes”.
Sanjay Yadav, political adviser of Tejashwi, posted a video of crowds mobbing the RJD leader’s helicopter, pressing against it. “Despite repeated requests to @ECISVEEP (Election Commission), situation remains the same. It appears to be a deliberate attempt to jeopardise campaign and is a threat to his life.”
