“In prior discussions, Charlie expressed to multiple executives that this is what he wanted in the event of his death,” the group said.

Impact of Turning Point USA

Turning Point USA was co-founded by Charlie Kirk and fellow conservative activist Bill Montgomery in June 2012 as a nonprofit to promote conservative politics, especially in schools and colleges.

Born in 1993, Kirk catapulted into national fame in 2012, with an opinion article published in Breitbart News in which he railed against the influence economists like Paul Krugman enjoyed in college classrooms. (AP)

Kirk served as the CEO, chief fundraiser, and the public face of Turning Point USA from its founding to his death earlier this month.

Kirk and Turning Point USA have been credited with playing a key role in getting Donald Trump elected as the US President. Turning Point USA campaigned for Trump in all three of his presidential campaigns from 2016 to 2024.

Following the shocking murder of Kirk at the age of 31, many had raised concerns about Turning Point USA’s future.
