Gujarat Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The pollings on 25 of the 26 Lok Sabha seats in the state of Gujarat concluded in phase 3 on Tuesday, May 7, with a total voter turnout percentage of just 59.51 per cent, which is significantly low from the 2019 voter turnout percentage of 64.51, recorded by the home state of current PM Narendra Modi. Notably, only 25 of the 26 seats from Gujarat went for polling in 2024, as on the Surat seat, BJP’s Mukesh Dalal was declared winner unopposed after the nomination of the Congress candidate was deemed invalid, and the other contestants from the seat also withdrew their name from before the elections. The results of rest 25 seats will be announced with other states on Tuesday, June 4.
